Hi, '55 4x4 (169) Panda, 1.2 Petrol. Terrible noise from rear which we think we have narrowed down to nearside wheel bearing. Read that it is simpler job to just replace the complete Hub, 4 bolts I'm told, so......who has done this? And where to find the part at sensible money?
Thanks.

The 2wd models have a complete hub/bearing unit, with the bearing being part of the hub. Four bolts removes it complete.

Being a 4x4, yours has to incorporate the driveshaft, so is different. It may need pressing out of the hub, but as it seems to be held in with a circlip, may be easier.

Fiat part number is 46531160, with a very silly price of around £70.

It nicely cross-refers to SKF (market leading brand) VKBA3577 which includes the necessary new nut and a new circlip.

You will need a 600mm long breaker bar to shift that hub retaining nut. I bought mine to do the same job on a Punta Mk2. Ordinary (cheap) socket set T bar had no chance even when brutalised with a steel tube for more leverage.
