Hi guys whilst I have had my Cross from new for 2 years now (new head gasket under warranty recently!) I kept the 2005 4x4 as a runaround/dogs/shooting. For some time now the clutch pedal has been sticking in. Only a hard whack would release it. The local garage who are pretty good have changed the master cylinder clutch pump. Seems it's not cable driven but hydraulic??? Had it back and still the same problem. It's going back to the garage again but we all scratching our heads here. It feels like a cable catching (which the older ones used to do I remember). Has anyone come across this before or have any bright ideas please? Many thanks. Ross

Hi, i have a 07 reg panda dynamic, had the same problem. My mechanic changed slave cylinder, which is on top of gearbox, £25 of flea bay. Problem sorted, hope this helps....

It's the clutch slave cylinder. Normally changed when clutch is replaced.

Try changing the fluid but by the time you get access to it, you might as well fit a new one.

Thanks guys appreciated.... I think you are all spot on.. concentric slave cylinder and as you say may as well go for a new clutch at the same time. Thanks both your help and looks like will have to bite the bullet. Don't fancy being stuck in the middle of a field in deepest damp dismal Devon! Ross

Are you sure it's a concentric slave cylinder?

Mine's not a 4x4 but the slave is sat on top of the gearbox.

If it is concentric, try bleeding a bottle full of fluid though it. Last resort might help.
