Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows much about the fiat panda 1.2 active trim model? I recently purchased one from a dealer and have been checking it out. It seems like a solid little car that I will probably grow to love a lot. What I have been wondering about is whether there's a way to open the boot from inside of the car? The active trim model that I have doesn't have central locking so you have to use the key to open the car, which I don't mind, but it would be nice if there was a latch for opening the boot somewhere/ Does anyone know about this?

I would also like to know the same, I have a 1.1 Active and I have to put the key in to unlock the doors and the boot.

I've had the car for 5 years and have never found a latch anywhere inside.. I don't know if that's just me being stupid or what..

well I've had mine since 2004 .. :D
and can confirm it's got "KEY operated" - not remote Central Locking;)

and only the 1 x lock barrel - on the drivers door,:chin:

yes - you use a key to physically unlatch the tailgate

fantastic car:worship:

Yeah, mines exactly the same as that :) I love the car, will probably keep it til it just gives up on life

and oh well, at least we know we'll keep fit getting in and out of the car to unlock the boot for people.. XD

The Active has central locking for the four doors from the one lock on the drivers door (so it's central locking, but not remote) and the tailgate isn't part of the system, it only opens with the key in the tailgate lock.

With later model Pop, Fiat made a massive step forward and fitted a second lock on the passenger door, extravagant or what!
Though the tailgate still has it's own lock and can only be opened with the key.

Whoops had a senior moment.

Made a mistake.

Its the girlfriends car that the Active and you can only open the boot by key

Mines the Dynamic and open with the rest of the doors or by key.
