It's not something I've done, but I have heard it is possible.

Ideally the new clocks will have lower mileage on than the old - i believe it is easy to correct upwards but not down. Otherwise the mileage will continuously flash.

You will also need the wiper stalk from the 1.2 to get the reset button on the end in order for the trip meter to work properly.

I believe MultiECUScan can do the mileage adjustment and the Proxi alignment to make it work with the ECU.

I'm fairly sure someone on the forum has done this, so hopefully they can help more.

I can find a reference to adding a rev counter but not a trip computer. I suspect it will be hit and miss like adding the cigarette lighter. Seem like there is 101 the Panda is wired.

I'd love to do this ,anyone else got more info ?

I found a post from PirelliOllie covering this while I was looking for something else. Well worth a read.

Don't know if this will work on pre-Eco 1.1, but it seems that all functions apart from the outside air temp work (that needs the sensor in the passenger mirror) but apparently the display for that can be turned off in MES.

Might have a go at this one day if I come across a dash with fairly low mileage - my spares car dash has about 100k more than our 1.1 so not going to use that one.

If anyone feels like doing a guide...

Thanks irc.

I can confirm it works as intended, I've done a good 7000 miles or so since I changed mine and I have had no problems.

You need:

Instrument panel with LOWER mileage than your car
Indicator and wiper stalks with the trip button
MultiECUScan on a laptop (Registered, free version will not work)
OBD Adaptor for your laptop, ideally one that has been tested with MultiECUScan.

Other than that it's as simple as it looks, the tricky part is the mileage correction and the PROXI alignment.
