Ok, so I have a 2011 Panda with manual adjust wing/door mirrors. Someone kindly broke off my drivers side mirror from the mount and left it dangling by the adjuster cable (yay!). I see I can buy a no-brand replacement mirror online for £30-£40 BUT how do you even replace it? I'd love to get more involved with my cars repairs but I'm stumped. I had a play around and did this (hopefully pictured) but do I remove the plastic triangle bit also? How ...etc etc...can anyone help or must I suck it up and go to my stealership?

Plastic triangle unclips revealing that your mirror is held on my a giant plastic nut with 'reverse shark teeth' catches to help prevent it naturally unscrewing.

A big adjustable spanner helps you undo it (and then re-use it............cos as I discovered, the new mirrors don't come with a new nut).

Thanks...how do I unclip the plastic? Is there a particular point I shimmy in with a flathead screwdriver? ...sorry if I sound super dense -_-

It just pops off - with a bit of help around the edges. A screwdriver will ease it off.
When I put sound-deadening material in my doors, I had to remove this plastic piece before I could strip the door card from the door frame.

Ah ok I'll have a look over the weekend, last thing I need is to break that piece before I've even started lol

If you're worried about breaking the tabs, warm it with a hair dryer before trying to remove it - makes it a bit more flexible.

Hey everyone! Thought I'd update and let you know I managed it! ...hubby had to undo that big plastic nut, for I am weak lol ...but new one is now on :)
