I've recently bought a Panda, 2010 model 1.1 Eco Active. Overall I'm happy with it but have a couple of issues I'm curious about.
1. The paint under the bonnet is thin to non existent- just grey primer. Looking at photos I see this isn't unique to my car so is it something I need to be worried about and is there a (cost effective) way to protect the metalwork under there?

2. The oil dipstick has no "Max" and "Min" markings, just a flat bit near the end. does that flat bit equate to the recommended oil level?

Thanks.

paint under bonnet is quite normal as areas that aren't on show generally aren't fully painted, lower edge of flat on dipstick is min top edge is max the flat area should look like file like serrated, hope this helps!

Best way to look after underbonnet area is to make sure you clean out the dead leaves and other stuff that accumulate in various places.
Also make sure the scuttle drains are cleaned out once in a while to allow water to drain properly. Search this forum for the word Duckbill for more information.

Panda car bodies are fully painted and sealed in a bland colour. The final cosmetic visit is applied only where it can be seen.
