Hi ive just bought a 64 plate panda easy but for some reason cant undo the rear passenger doors from the outside can open them from inside the handles in side are permentaly pushed inwards in the lock position tried alsorts with the remote control also ive opened both back doors and tried locking /unlocking with the mannual key and im running out of ideas any suggestions please

There's lots of little plastic parts in the locking mechanism. Sounds like some of them have broken.

Hi Lindacrook,

I think I have a similar issue on my FIAT Qubo. The door won't open by pushing the button on the rear door. It opens only by using the dedicated button on the remote control, or by unlocking it mechanically from inside.

How did you finally solve your problem with your Panda?

Thanks,
Giulio

You need to ask in the later model Panda discussion. It's probably a lock setting somewhere on the door. Your Fiat dealer will also know what to do.

Hi DaveMcT,

I prefer to troubleshoot it myself before dealing with FIAT.

My Qubo 1.3 MJT is a 2011 model, with the rear door hinged on top.
The handle button on the rear door, over the car's plate, closes correctly when pressed, but it doesn't receive any voltage.

The rear lock opens only with the dedicated button on the remote control, or from the inside emergency lever on the lock itself. Both these operations override the button's signal.

The wires connected at the button are Black (GND) and white/orange (which is supposed to be a non-zero voltage coming from the control board).

The black ground wire on the button and all rear lights are good.

It could be an interruption on the white/orange wire somewhere along the path to the control logic.

I'll keep on searching in other threads for a similar issue.

Thanks.

The OP is asking about rear passenger doors on the latest model Panda. Unless these have changed to electrical operation, the problem has to be a mechanical switch setting e.g. a child lock type of thing that's malfunctioning.

Asking Fiat how something is supposed to work is not the same as asking Fiat to diagnose and fix a problem.
