Hello everyone. I want to ask you about something important to me and my Panda in the future.

How many parts from Fiat Panda III can be mounted in Fiat Panda II? And how about engine? If one dies, can be replaced by one from new Panda without serious problems?

Individual components, I'd imagine many are cross-usable on the 2012+ Panda and the 2009-2012 (later) versions of the MkII.

There was a few minor engine changes from 2003-2012, so as for engines, it depends;- which one, which part.

As for a definite, extensive list of 'what can be used' between models, only Fiat could possibly know that.

In reality, when you need a new part you find out the part number. Google it, and the correct part comes up. Sometimes that part will work with the newer Panda, Ford Ka, 500, Punto etc. Sometimes not. I'm not sure how you'd go about knowing a list of actual 'cross compatible' parts, sadly.

But if you're thinking of buying a parts car, definitely don't buy anything too different to what you already have.

What makes you ask? out of curiosity.

I was just curious - in local FIAT salon various parts could be mounted in both Panda generations, Punto or even in 500s.

As above, some parts will fit straight on, some can be modified to suit, and many are just different.
For individual parts, you could check some of the more advanced parts suppliers, who have online databases of common parts (google parts analog fiat, for example)
Searching this forum will also show up some parts that will fit (e.g. rear exhaust box).
Beware of parts which need ECU changes to work. There may not be backward compatible firmware, and it may be difficult to get things working together without serious effort.
