Technical A new little Panda 100HP

I found a used CDA with around 5000 miles, so it is in a very good condition. This is not the specific one for the 100HP, I think about buying it and then make new connections with black silicone hoses as you suggested.

CDA is here, just finished cleaning it.

Now it's time to look for some black hoses, maybe do a mix between silicone and aluminum as Cooperman did.

I would recommend not bothering with the hose that goes from the intake to the slam panel. The noise is mega, it's as though the car is on carbs!

After reading many reviews Sportrac 5 are on the way... (y)

Thank you Dave :worship:

As soon as I will find the Sparco strut brace I will buy it and then we will see the possible benefit :slayer:

Maybe you are right here, but CDA costs about 200 pounds (taking away the savings that gives you every year on filter change) and an upgrade with manifold, metal catalyst and additional module over 1000 pounds. I do not want more noise at the exhaust, so I don't think this is worth at all.

You're just going to waste money. Strut braces are designed to stop the inward flex of the strut tops during corners, by bracing them against each other across the car. As has already been indicated, the strut tops on the Panda are right next to the bulkhead, because of which, will not allow the strut tops to flex inwards, so adding more metal at a cost to you is adding no benefit whatsoever.

If you really want a performance improvement, put the cost of the strut brace and air intake mods towards a full exhaust system. Cylinder head to tail pipe. Manifolds appear from time to time in the For Sale section and any aftermarket exhaust will be better than standard. They don't have to be noisy.

Change the manifolds means also buying a new CAT, the cost overall will be huge. Then I don't know what EURO class the engine will become. Do you have any advice on a metal CAT and some review by someone already fit it?

An exhaust swap won't affect the bhp output and there are reports that the tubular manifold actually harms performance on the 100hp.

Very pretty but it's not adding any useful strength because the body shell was built with the strut towers right up against the fire wall.
