General Issue with the other Panda-drivers

You misunderstand me madam, when I said "brick your car in", I meant with a pallet of bricks and a cubic metre of mortar so he'd have to use a JCB to clear his drive. And another thing, you are decades younger than me, in fact, as I get older I shall look forward to your visits to Mancland when you can push my Bath Chair into the park so I can get some fresh air while keeping the chill off under a nice tartan blanket and another thing ZZZZ ZZZZ ZZZZ ZZZZ ZZZZ Eh? What? Where was I? Oh yes, I remember now.

You have a picture in your attic? Of me? It isn't that old one the PSNI posted all over the six counties is it? I can explain that, it was all a silly misunderstanding, I mean they weren't even my stockings and stilettos, and, er, on the advice of my legal representative, I shall just go "No comment."

Mr Beardy. Ooh you are awful - but I like you!

Perhaps the Norn Iron in me came out a tad strong in relation to the 'bricking' :ROFLMAO:

I might escape your direction again in the next month or two.

Just let me know when you're due, I'll make sure the Special Bra......er, Special Brew I meant.....er, I'll make sure I haven't been drinking Special Brew the night before.

(Think I got away with that one)

I think there might be one or two things you should avoid! ;)

Leaving Southampton last night allowed a Micra to toddle across me at a traffic island. There was space for me to nip through but it would have been impolite.

Oh what a mistake. The driver bumbled around curves like he was driving on marbles (Yes, a "he" and looked well under 30). Hesitant when there was space to go then too fast when he should have been slowing down. I had to put up with his antics all the way to the M27. Even then he was hogging the 3rd lane (thankfully there are four lanes around there).

We had a similar issue on the way in with a female who refused to overtake a tractor even though the tractor driver was keeping well to the left and making more than enough space.

Obviously off topic now, but thoughtless drivers take many shapes & forms, young & old. I could rant on about many encounters, but of late, possibly a few years now, the aggressive young female driver is coming more & more to the fore. I'm far from surprised, but I've witnessed females with young kiddies in the car taking far too much chances & speeding out in front of you & quite recently a young lassie overtaking everything right round the outer lane (left) of a multi exit roundabout, how she managed not to hit anything, I do not know.

I believe not waving back is indeed thoughtless driving, it means you dont see the other cars on the road, being symptomatic of the core of my initial post, people dont care one bit, they just drive.. even people in pandas, maybe especially people in pandas?

I thought someone waved back a few days ago when they were in fact just shielding their eyes from the sun... (I feel the wife is getting annoyed/embarrassed that im waving at all the pandas i see when we are out driving)

TBH there seem to be more road blocking thoughtless drivers tan there are foot to the floor nutters.

Saying that I got cut up by a souped up Ford (also last night) - nearly took me out on a traffic island. His sports exhaust was so loud I could hear him as he sped away and my windows were all shut.

One time I was going down the Coleraine mountain road here in N.I. Saw another girl driving a Panda similar to mine.. about my age she looked.. glaring back as if to say 'wtf, you've got one of these too?!' Lol.

Other than that, other Panda drivers don't notice me either! Lol

A comments was once made about the MZ motorbikes from the old East Germany. They were basic but reliable with a great deal of charm. The 250s have a considerable following.

"There are two types of motorcyclists. Those who hate MZs and those who have ridden one."

OK, bikers are notoriously conservative and opinionated about whats "right" and what's not, but a similar thing could be said about the 169 Panda. It's the ultimate evolution of the old Uno without having rubbed away all of the original car's charm and character.

However the Panda has its limits and so unlikely to suit anyone for ever.

As a Panda 1.1 Eco driver will I be allowed a wave from a 100HP driver?...its each to their own I guess. As I used to ride a motorcycle (Honda Blackbird) I would "nod" to passing (On coming) bikes..be it motorcycle or moped/scooter.I got return nods off most. The least unlikely was from moped/scooter riders (would maybe didn't think they would deserve a nod from a big bike/or didn't know how to respond) the other was from Harley riders who didn't think I was deserved of a nod back..even though I rode my "Plastic sports tourer" to work and back every day..but they only rode at weekends when it wasn't raining (Not all Harley riders are like that,I must agree).
I think there should be a universal "Panda" hand sign (like the V-dub one..I used to own a T2 "Bay window" camper.

Tomsk

I dont think you would, since NOBODY waves back, though its more likely that a 1,4 panda sees you than the 1,1 or 1,2 since its that much more expenssive and therefore a more active choice?

Not so much these days but they are getting quite rare.
