The value of a car is irreverent however, its the potential third party claim element which is considered in the main. Not helps with the likes of credit hire organisations and solicitors with their legal fees on some relatively minor injury claims in a lot of cases.

These are the areas that need regulating to be completely honest.

It's just the blow of paying for a car and the insurance being a lot higher than the worth of your own vehicle, makes sense though if I prang into an Aston.

I'm forever seeing that on the news. They keep saying they'll do something to regulate minor injury claims but they never do.

In London you are probably better off without a car. Traffic is horrible and public transport is good. You can also buy a lot of taxi rides with the costs of most young person's car insurance.

If a parent lives i the same house putting them as a named additional** driver will often cut the costs considerably.

**That's named driver NOT primary driver.

You could get a rubbish bike insure it but never use it. Then in year's time see if the car insurance is more affordable.
