Hi all.
This is my very first post here.

My mother has a Fiat Panda 2004 Dynamic edition and when it is free she give it to me too. Actually I have more than 3.000km in one year when she has about 300.

He have the original key of fiat. We have changed it with a new original key after certain malfunctions since 2012 or before. I don't remember.

The key has fallen a lot of times from tables from my hands even 1.8 meters falls. Yesterday on a Restaurant It fell again from 1.3 meters.

When left the restaurant the key worked properly. Then I went for a ride near my house. Not sth special. Got out of the car locked by forgot my phone so tried to unlock. The key was not responding. Pressing lock button and the luggage room button where actually working as usual with the tacktile and clicky sound and feeling like every car. The unlock button feels like there is nothing inside of it.

The car starts just fine. so it is has to do with the middle part between the chip and the plastic **** we press.

How can I fix it by myself without involving fiat or anyone else? I have tools

hi, :)
it's is quite possible that a small component has become displaced / or damaged,

the fact the boot / trunk release still works points to the single button issue.
probably simplest is to - google / youtube,
FIAT KEY REPAIR;)

this should give the best basic description of how it all goes together.

IF it is broken, you MAY be able to get the parts from a used key from a broken FIAT.

the "chip" that makes the key speak to the car is currently not damaged . and may be transferred to a new key body.

Hi had the same problem and asked the same questions.Received advice via forum.prise the fiat logo out of the the key fob and you will find a screw to dismantle the unit,be careful as the button that operates the opening will most probably fall out as mine did!! Was then able with the help of a very fine point soldering iron to resolder, reassemble and hey it worked. Hope this helps.

Thank you both about your help. It was actually the button than had gone away. I didn't have a soldering iron so I burned the tip a flat screwdriver and soldered again the clicky button and it worked fine again. No damage on the chip of the key no fiat involvement no mother arguments about how bad i behave to the car!
