Hi guys !!
I need to replace the oil in my car,I've just got 5w-30 motor oil from my boss,it's brand new,they filled to the company car's and some is lef out
So the car manual says it's need 10w40,what should I do now ??
Should I use 5w-30 or just buy 10w-40 ??
Can it harm my engine ??

You can but it's not the right oil and you're only going to save your self a tenner (the price of 10w40 from home bargains). If I were you use the right stuff and give the 5w30 to a friend who has a Vauxhall or something that uses it or use it for top ups. At a push.

Thanks for the reply,in hungary the 5w-30 is not a frequently used oil,so I can't give to anyone.
I just ordered a 5w-40,because at the local car part store sais 5w-30 will damage my engine,but 5w-40 is just good for it.

10w40 ,best .. 5w40 not really a good deal if the car have miles

It's got 71 800 km on it, I think that's not a huge deal for that car
I use to drive in the city a lot.

I used 5w30 in my panda (~100.000-105.000km), now i'm looking at a new engine, not only because of this , but it was wearing down the motor hard with the too viscous oil...
