Hi all,...again!.
Been having problems with my 05 panda not starting on occasion and showing the 'Engine failure' message.
For some explicable reason I thought putting 97% octane in might improve things in that department.
Only improvement is performance( slightly)
Worst thing is now my exhaust smells like rotten eggs which I guess keeps the tailgaters away and the engine, when hot, runs rough when idling.
Before I did this the car there was no issue with the exhaust fumes :yuck:
My question is, have I killed the cat? worst case scenario I guess but that's supposed to turn the sulphur onto an odourless gas
Otherwise will the car return back to normal when the rich fuel is spent and normal fuel is back in the system?
