Hi all,

I’m going to replace the headlamps on my Panda. Before I start this “journey” I would like to know if anyone can tell me what I need to remove from the car in order to get access to screws and so on? I can see the grille needs to come off. But what about the bumper and so on?

Fairly easy to do.

Disconnect the multiplug on the back of each light unit - twist and pull.

Remove the front grille - four setscrews, which I think are 8mm from memory, then the grille lifts up and outwards.
Revealed will be the inner fixing bolt for each headlamp.

Undo this bolt and the obvious one on the top of each light.

You're left with a pain in the butt small screw on the lower outer edge of each unit. The way I got to these was to turn the wheel inwards on the side I was working on, then pull up the front edge of the plastic wheel arch liner and get my hand inside it. The screw can be seen, but it might be rusty. Wear something with a thick sleeve to stop scratches!

That's it.
I have to ask - why are you changing the lights if they're not broken?

Thanks a million! Just the answer I was looking for.

I’m replacing the lights for 2 reasons. 1. Both are full of condensation/ moist and 2. They suffer from too much UV light (I guess) making them look like they are covered with “white dust”. So I went all in and got 2 new lamps.

4 x self tappers ( + / phillips head) on my 2007 1.1 active
