Haven't been on the Forum for a while,last panda i had was the 1.3 Multijet.
Bought a Panda Eleganza 1.2 couple of days ago from a Fiat dealership in Glasgow. It's on a 59 plate with 27000 miles which i thought was good for the year.
The dealership put a new Mot on the car also replaced one of the front Tires and changed the Timing Belt. All good .
Except for the key fob which is not locking and unlocking tried a new battery but getting the flashing red light. Contacted the dealers booked in next Tuesday to probably reset the key code or maybe even the car not sure but I'm hoping to get it done under warranty.
The only other thing i can find is the outside temp display just shows C with a couple of dashes.
Had a look at the nearside mirror it appears to have been replaced and their is a small hole underneath where I suspect the Temp Sensor would be.
Are they expensive to buy separately and could I replace it myself ?

You're correct that the temp sensor pokes its nose on the underside of the nearside mirror.


Maybe they replaced the door mirror and got one without the sensor or simply didn't hook it up. You'd only know by taking the mirror off I think - though you may be able to see with the glass plucked out.


Since it's under warranty..............may as well ask your dealer to sort as I can't recall if the climate control relies on it.

Had a look through the receipts that came with the car , and their was mention of a replacement nearside mirror. It's not color coded appears to be just the normal mirror. i can see a hole in the underside. I'm not sure if the standard mirror comes with the whole already cut ?
I'm up in Glasgow the weather hasn't been to good hoping for a dry day to have a proper look at it

I bought a replacement mirror from Eurocarparts for mine. The mirror came with the hole and electrics/wires for the motor. It did not come with the temp sensor/wires though - I had to use the old one from the broken mirror.

I'm going to try and remove the mirror glass and have look wants behind their.
I'm hoping their is a Plug/Socket that i could attach a new Temp/Sensor.
Visiting the dealer on Tuesday to have the key reprogrammed,will try and get a.
price on the Temp/Sensor

Just back from the Dealers.
My Key is busted, they took it apart and it has some corrosion on the circuit board . It still opens the doors and starts the car. Their going to order me a new Key. Also mentioned about the outside temp gauge not working they had a look and mentioned the wrong mirror had been fitted. Ordering a new mirror with sensor for me.
All under warranty so more than happy to let them get on with it

Started looking for a Panda Cross, if I find a second hand one at a decent price might jump ship

I believe that the little blighters are addictive and for many one Panda is never enough.
