Hi chaps, I've been quiet for a while, see below: :D

https://www.fiatforum.com/panda/335145-new-boy-interested-panda-100hp.html

But two years on the itch has still not gone away and the plan was to sell my 1 series this month while ordering a new one for the spring and buy a runaround for the meantime.

But I soon realised I was more excited about getting a 100 HP at last than ordering a brand new car, so the new BM is on hold and I will just go ahead and look for a 100 HP anyway.

Prices have softened a bit in the last couple of years but still amazing that a bargain bucket mini-hatch that Fiat were knocking out at under £8k for the last of the line 5 odd years ago still holds it money so well.

Anyway, if anyone has or knows of a very clean and original and loved 100 HP in the SE for sale preferably 2009/10 in black, blue or red (red or black preferred) please let me know. :)

I bought one of the last ones brand new in March 2011 and it wasn't under £8000.......don't they ever were.

Keep looking - one might pop-up eventually.

Thanks, I do remember reading on here a couple of years back that some members got them under £8k at the time and in the EVO reviews there is mention that many got them at £7.5k at the end of production. Then just as now (20% to 25% is the norm now off list on BMW 1's for instance) the dealers will wither if pushed hard for a deal! ;) However, at more than £8k new still a great buy. :)

Plenty about on eBay and AT at the mo' but none near enough distance/spec to warrant a viewing at present. Values are all over the place too....

I need to sell my 100HP, and it is difficult to know where to pitch the price.

Book price for a 2007 car with average miles is 2500 -3000, but there are plenty being advertised at 3500 plus.

Nevertheless, this must be one of the lowest depreciating cars of recent years.

8 years to lose 5000k. My company BMW lost that in a month......

Where did you get that book price for a private sale 2007 at 2.5 to 3k?

Personally I'd look at *actual* selling price around £2k tops.

Some of the asking prices are nuts. To pay so much for a near nine year old budget and very basic city hatch that originally sold for under £8k actual is mad.

Dealers seem to be getting them and sticking them up for silly money, I assume because they are quite rare, so they plan to wait it out until they get someone who'll pay it. I've just paid £1900 for a 2007 (57 plate) car with 52k and full service history, so anyone asking anywhere near £3k is having a laugh tbh.

It's just about keeping your eyes peeled and being ready to pounce on a decent car when it comes up, they do come up. I'd rather buy one from a private seller I think.

Totally agree with that - you paid the right money I think. I have seen some at £4.5k from dealers, nuts when you consider what they cost new and what you can get in comparison for a 6 year old car. Lots on sale at dealer prices have never had a cambelt too.

I'd say condition and history is everything with the 100hp, most dealers are overpricing them but I reckon £2500 is a reasonable price for a low mileage 57 plate with full history.

I know of an 08 with over 60k miles that sold for well over 3k last week, so there does seem to be a demand out there.

I reckon a lot of the variance is condition dependent. When I bought mine, I saw a few that had been scrimped on (crappy tyres, no cambelt change, missing service stamps) before picking a decent one.

I paid £3200 for a 09 100HP with just 25,000 on the clock, 2900 miles in the last 3 years. I've just added 1000 in 5 weeks!

Hi

I'm not sure if you are still looking but i will regrettably selling my black 100hp in the next few weeks. It was first registered in August 2009 and I purchased it when it was less than a year old. It has now done 44,000 miles and never wanted for anything - full Fiat service history and never messed with. Not in the SE unfortunately (near Manchester) but we do now have electricity, roads and everything ;-)

Let me know if this is up your street before I advertise it more widely

thx

Nick

Hi Nick, thanks. Yes, please PM/email details, price, pics etc. And presuming as it's 2009 with FSH the cam belt/water pump etc has been done.

Nick - if Max isn't interested, I am. Been lurking here whilst waiting for the Porsche to sell, looking for something tidy (with seat bolsters intact) now I have the space and money.

Hi - thanks for the interest

I have just mailed Max some pictures and asked him to let me know in a day or two if he is interested. You are next in the queue if not!

Prices vary wildly.

I know of three 2007 cars that have sold for between 3k and 3.5k this year. Yes, there are bargains to be had, but it seems like the type of buyer who sees these as a future classic is willing to pay for a cherished one.

Incidentally, when I sold mine, two of the prospective buyers said that they went for an older car as they didn't have ESP. Apparently, they find it too intrusive for track day or fast road use. I'd never thought of something not being fitted as standard as a selling point!

Mine's got the ESP fitted and I've never had it cut in at all on the road.

Maybe I'm not driving hard enough??!!! :p
