Morning everyone,

So I've bitten the bullet and bought a set of 15" steelies as I am fed up with buckled 100HP wheels. Bring on the sleeper look!

The only question is where can I buy bolts for them as I am pretty sure I can't use the ones for alloys.

Alternatively what is the bolt pattern and specs of the bolts? Fiat would want a small fortune I guess judging that they wanted £350 + VAT for a 100HP wheel!

Cheers!

I was tempted with these at one point - I think with some silver paint and some centre caps they should look super

Interesting to see them on the car.

I'll give them another coat of paint to protect them since paint on steel wheels is usually paper thin.

I was thinking of gloss black but silver would look good, too.

I remember a member from Switzerland having a 100HP with silver steel wheels and it looked good, coincidentally it was red, too IIRC but I can't find the photo!

The car will be a proper sleeper if the 100HP badge is removed as well :)

Are there centre caps for them and where can I get some?

I'd be interested what this looks like, too.

I'm not really one for modifying cars...but when I see pics of these with steelies on....somehow they can look really cool!

Are the steel wheels the same width/depth? as the standard alloys? So they will be quite meaty looking still?

I'm initially thinking black would look better...but maybe silver would...not sure.

iget tempted with steelies too but id like banded ones.

id do the middle body coloured, think it would really suit the 100hp. be great as a winter tyre option

Is anyone good with photoshop? It sounds interesting although I am tempted either gloss black or metallic silver; the problem with metallic silver is if/when they start to rust they will look worse than black, no?

I found the thread I was talking about, unfortunately the wheels are not pictured fitted to the car (you can see them in the boot) but I think they would look OK in silver too. I can't decide now gloss black or silver...

To me, black looks wrong, but I'm old. Looks like a van with lost wheel trims.

Silver is like when I had my Alfasuds - Hammerited steel wheels!

Centre caps - maybe some nice stainless Alfasud centre caps also! Or Doblo ones maybe.

Do you mean these?

If so they are beautiful! :worship:

My neighbour had one and used to take us out in it sideways as a teenager.

The tyres were on their plies :)

He ran it without a bonnet and I could hear the twin carbs from a few blocks away, ah beautiful sound!

Back to the bolts, since for the 500 the bolts for alloys/steelies are interchangeable, does the same apply for the Panda?

I'll paint the wheels silver :)

IIRC it's M12 x 1,25
If you can use the same bolts depends on the shape of the holes in the steelies. ask the supplier which shape the bolts should have.

The supplier has no clue I believe.

These are the wheels:

Is the seat type the same as Fiat's spare wheel?

If so I could then use the bolts I have.
A3jeroen, what steelies do you use and what bolts?

When I was considering these wheels, these are the centre caps I was considering having:

One of the few metal parts on the Alfasud that didn't rust. The bolts keep them in place, so no stealing

I agree the look nice but will probably be quite heavy, no?

I remember one of the reasons my dad removed the centre caps from his Fiat 127 was to reduce unsprung weight. I couldn't believe it until I lifted one of them, they weighted a ton, they were quite more chunky than the ones you have pictured though.
