hi my panda is great runs really well pulls well good on fuel its a 8v petrol 2006 just one small problem is when you come to restart it from warm you have to give it some throttle then it will tick over OK never stalls at all anyone got any ideas as to what it might be thanks

First thought is "when were the spark plugs last changed?". Surprising how these can affect the hot starting.

If sure about them, the idle control valve could be sticky. Remove aircleaner and squirt liberally with carb cleaner. Leave it to evaporate a while before starting, and don't start with aircleaner off in case of a spit back and fire. The aircleaner will suffocate such a small flash.

hi thanks for that funny you should mention spark plugs i have booked a service for Monday as plugs unknown the though did cross my mind as to plug gap too large

Plug gap is 1mm.

Closing down worn plugs will not restore full efficiency. Get new ones.

Some time after I got my Panda, set out to do a service, removed the old plugs, then it rained. Popped the new ones in and did the rest of the service a week later. During that week, car started and ran much better, just with plug change.

thanks will do its having new plugs oil oil filter full service Monday so ill post results and i will mention the sticky valve to them just in case its that
