Hello, new member and as of yesterday proud owner of a purple 2011 panda dynamique. Not entirely new to pandas though; my much loved basic spec 55 plate one has now gone to the big dealer lot in the sky, which is sad but very excited about it's replacement! :)

My old panda, my other half replaced the standard tape player it came with with a CD/MP3 player from halfords which worked fine. The new one has the integrated CD/MP3 player still in, which is very tidy and neat and i like that it fills the whole space in the dash, but if i'm honest it's a bit lacking in features for me. I do not a small number of big motorway cruises a year and things like a shuffle function are pretty necessary for my sanity, so i'm thinking I'm going to have to replace the stock one with something a bit more snazzy.

I've no intention of doing anything like cutting new speaker holes out of my lovely little panda, i literally just want to upgrade the unit in the dash to something i can do a little bit more with. I wonder if anyone else has any experience of this and could recommend anything that fits well and looks nice?

A quick google suggested there was a sat nav/stereo option in the original spec list for 2011 but it was mostly fitted to left hand drive models so is expensive, rare and fiddly so i guess that option is dead in the water. But the size of the stereo gap is very neatly satnav shaped so I'm even contemplating looking in to an off the shelf one of those to fill it, and again would be interested to hear recommendations/horror stories.

I'll likely get a auto electrician to fit it, or buy it from somewhere that includes fitting, if the job is beyond my other half so "a bit fiddly" is fine, but i'd rather not have to have them meddle with the whole wiring loom.

Any advice much appreciated!

The old FIAT satnav ones were expensive and now long outdated.

Couple of option:

1. Someone on here bought a Chinese large screen option and seems happy with it. £300ish on Amazon/ebay.

2. Cheaper option are SD/USB card player that fit inside your glovebox and are wired to the aux slot in the back of the stereo or somesuch.

I have just taken one of these out of my 61 plate Mylife. It includes the power adaptor cable for the Panda and is very easy to fit. All you will need is the aerial adaptor cable which most motor factors have. With the standard speakers it sounds very good. I took it out as I have sold the car. If interested please send me a personal message, I am open to offers!

I've replaced the original blaupunkt units in two pandas. the first one broke, the second went in the pursuit of more features/compatibility with iPhone. AS you know there are little plastic half fittings available to give you a little stowage space in the half not taken by the new unit. The second of the two was a JVC bluetooth CD and MP3 unit c/w microphone - can pair your phone with it and make calls etc. Pretty nifty I thought for £50 or £60 from halfords + the fitting cost.
