Evening all,

My 100hp has a few little niggles starting to show which I guess is only to be expected with its mileage.

1. The electric handle on the boot has stopped working, although the button on the key works so not the end of the world. Is this still a new unit jobbie or has someone found a way to repair it?

2. When listening to CD's after a while it starts to sound like it is underwater then eventually just stops playing. Thinking of getting something new but don't want to lose the steering wheel functionality.

3. After a good wash or heavy down pour a large amount of water sits under the windscreen in the scuttle panel. Does this mean a drain is blocked if so where is it?

Much love to you all.

Hi Elder81,

I can certainly help you with No.3.

Like you say water has collected in the scuttle below the windscreen. There are two rubber drain 'catchers' that sit under the scuttle that can be accessed from under the bonnet. (yes, rain water does leak into the engine compartment!).

Now, these do easily get full of leaves, soil etc.. So you can remove them or squeeze out the rubbish.

The two rubber 'boots' (drain catchers) sit in the centre of the scuttle. If you look closely, you'll see them.

Matt.

no2 - ive had this before and its using none genuine cd's. the cd player got stupidly hot, the sound went and then the plaer turned off. never had it with genuine cd's

To clean out the scuttle area and stop it from collecting water the best tool i have found is a section of the cable used to hold up net curtains. you can poke it right in to the blockage and its got just the right strength/ flexibility.
