Hi, my Panda (2006, 66k miles, Dynamic 1.2 petrol) is juddering, mainly when accelerating in 3rd/4th gear. I can feel it through the steering column, the car isn't stalling , starts up fine and none of the warning lights are on. Recently had the cam belt changed and the garage had trouble getting it started afterwards, they reckoned it was to do with a wire on the crank sensor. I asked should get the sensor replaced but they said no. The engine isn't misfiring or stalling, it's more of a gentle juddering..

Don't want to just leave it in case it develops into a nasty problem, but not sure what to do. The garage say its not linked to the cam belt change and are saying maybe replace spark plug leads.. is it possible to get more precise diagnostics if no warning lights are on? Any advice or pointers much appreciated..

Thanks - I'm not sure if it's actually misfiring, it's not a big dramatic thing, more like a rumble or judder. I had MOT and service early June.

Hi,

My Panda (1.2 Petrol) seems to jump a bit when the engine is cold and my feet are off all of the pedals. For example, driving around the estate slowly. It's as though the car cannot run at a slow steady speed when cold.

Once the car is up to temperature, the car runs more smoothly and the jerky motion disappears. The car does require a service in 2,000 miles and it recently passed its MOT in early August.

The car did have a cambelt and water pump change a few months ago, but it appears to be unrelated. I'm not sure if it's a 'characteristic' of the 1.2 euro 4 FIRE engine.

Matt.
