Hi, I am looking at buying a 2011 Panda at auction on Monday. Does the Panda come with a red key, or is that just Fiats of old?

Should get two blue keys.
If car has remote locking, only one remote key is supplied, but should have the spare ordinary key too.
If either is missing, budget £100-150 for the standard key, and £250+ for a remote. (Estimates based on recent reports on here. May be cheaper is cloned by Timpsons.)

Do you mean the colour of the badge on the key?


Mine`s a 2011 Panda and has the red badge. It goes with the red badges on the car.


I thought the blue badge was for the older models? (It is, when it`s on the car).

I believe the OP is referring to the old CODE system (prior to the current CODE2) system, where the master key had a red handle and was required to be kept safe in order to program any additional keys.

The keys are blue. Regardless of any badge on them.
Make sure you get two.

YES- since @2002 - all fiat KEYS have been BLUE, and BOTH keys are fully chipped,

do NOT buy a car with just 1 working key - unless REALLY cheap


( the "older system" from @1994 punto Mk1- had a RED "master" and 2 x Blue "slave" keys) it was @£700 if you lost the RED key back then..

Phil1 - so any modern FIAT would need 2 x working keys..- do check they actually start the car..!!

Just to be different, both of my keys are black. The remote key is black with a red logo and the spare, non-remote key is black with a black logo moulded into the plastic.

Oh, and my car's from 2008, so it's not especially old, or very new.

No, only on earlier ones, later ones are black

But like you say there should be 2
