Hi All
About 3 months ago some ******* decided it would be highly amusing to run across the roof of group of parked cars , one of which being my wife’s Panda. The result is the roof skin behind the B pillars being badly stretched. I am quite handy with panel work so I had hope I could knock this out, which the majority I have however on the minor low points left these will require a slight skim of filler.
The problem is the metal is so thin and with little internal support, it bongs around like a pogo stick and means getting the roof true again is near impossible. Replacing the skin itself looks fairly straightforward as these things go, however does anyone know a reasonable source of a new roof skin? The local dealer wanted £800+ VAT for it! The car itself most would deem as un economical to repair however my wife is quite fond of it and it has a bit of family value to it
