Hi All
About 3 months ago some ******* decided it would be highly amusing to run across the roof of group of parked cars , one of which being my wife’s Panda. The result is the roof skin behind the B pillars being badly stretched. I am quite handy with panel work so I had hope I could knock this out, which the majority I have however on the minor low points left these will require a slight skim of filler.

The problem is the metal is so thin and with little internal support, it bongs around like a pogo stick and means getting the roof true again is near impossible. Replacing the skin itself looks fairly straightforward as these things go, however does anyone know a reasonable source of a new roof skin? The local dealer wanted £800+ VAT for it! The car itself most would deem as un economical to repair however my wife is quite fond of it and it has a bit of family value to it

When breakers sell a car in parts, the last things to go are usually bits of a damaged shell, and most times the roof is undamaged.
It's a cinch to chop off the roof and cart it away. This might be your best bet.
Loads of Panda's breaking on eBay

Well after much swearing the Panda will be painted tonight ( along with a few scuffs).

Sadly it's not 100% right still and has 2 shallow dents, which is going to bug me! it also has about 100 years worth of filler in it to get it level the roof just bounces around and makes it near impossible to get it striaght.

If anyone comes across a new roof skin I would be pleased to hear from you

Just not at £814!

Can you cut one out from a breaker's car?
