Finally got round to fitting the some Koni STR.T rear shocks on my 100HP and I like what they do so will now get the fronts to match.

With the rears a sleeve was required to take up difference between the mounting bolt and ID of the shock - is there anything to be aware of when fitting the fronts or is it a straight swap?

Hi,

Yes there seems to be an issue with drop links.
First which drop links do you have depends on your cars year.
There is a massive post in here called the Koni damper experiment or something like that, search Koni and it will come up, it about 14 pages long it is a good read.

My setup is the same as yours, it's great, but you know the front end could be better!

If you fit Koni's you can only use the earlier drop links where both fittings face the same way, later ones were opposing and these can be used on any 100hp with standard suspension, the earlier ones are much more expensive due to blatant profiteering by the suppliers who know they are rarer (they know who they are).. I got around this by fitting pro-sport adjustable drop links which are still more expensive than the later ones but mean I can now just replace the relatively cheap joints at each end when they wear out.

its cheaper to do the shocks!!!!
