Dan which Fiesta did you go for?
I think I can guess.....
How do you find it both in drive and ownership?

I was sorely tempted by an ST, but I do too many miles and with my sensible hat on I went for a zetec s "red edition". One litre turbo with 140bhp. It's brilliant fun. Plus good enough performance, acceptable ride and costs peanuts to run (£20 tax and I'm doing 46mpg).

Still miss the panda, although the fiesta shows how things have moved on.

those engines are increadable!
Not sure how long they will last stressed like that though - last mile as a cool down?
Glad you are happy with your change sometimes you can really regret it after being so attached....
Dan as you pushed the old girl along a little - what brake fluid did you run and what was the capacity can you remember?

I never put any special brake fluid in, but just changed it at regular intervals - that makes a big difference.

I'm trusting Ford, after all they are fitting this engine to a wide selection of vehicles. I have always warmed up and cooled down my engines, so no real change required!

For anyone that may be interested in joining, I will be at Cadwell in the evening session on the 28th May.

I am looking forward to seeing what the Panda is like on track.

Will do Neil. No, I don't think there is much run off from videos I have watched, I hope there is not too much traffic as the worst problem is to have to stay on the right for others to pass.

Good luck for tomorrow FPan - don't forget to write it up and let us all know what you think please.

Thanks Neil, will do! :)

Car serviced, fluids level checked, tyre pressures checked, wheel nuts torqued up, helmet and gloves in the boot, I am looking forward to it!
