Hi all, need some advice on fixing the door handle on my Panda.

It is the driver's door handle; I noticed the handle was not always returning to the closed position when opened. In the winter, the doors tend to get stuck and require a little bit of force to open them. On this occasion, I went to open the door and I felt something snap. I assume it might be part of the mechanism, so I finally bought a handle off EBay.

However, this is where I come stuck. The handle I received has the lock barrel on the right (as the original Fiat cars would have) as opposed to the left. Would it will be possible to have this handle fitted, despite the lock barrel being on the opposite on the handle?

I was hoping to fix it with the help of my OH, as I expect a dealer might be a costly venture. Any experiences with this or advice would be much appreciated!

The handles are handed, and what I suspect you have is a handle for the left (drivers) side of a LHD car.

All the connections will be reversed if you try and fit it to the 'wrong' side of the car, which means it won't work.
