Hi guys.....I have done enough research and owned a 1.2 for 2 years so I know what I'm in for but I need a car to do the city thing (London) and twice a month a 350 mile trip to Mansfield.....
How would it cope on the motorway?
I know it's hard ride but is it better on an open road?

The noise?

Please advise

It's not so bad. I am getting old and remember my first 'real' car. A 1990 golf gti. It is very comparable. If you are not old, it is not so bad. Typically you will be doing 3500-4000 rpm, but it's comfortable. The fuel range is not ideal, you may or may not make it all the way on a full tank.

Enfield, you aren't from Enfield, North london at all are you?

We have the 1.2 Dynamic and the 100hp. Both are fine on motorways and since you'll be using the M1, the 1.2 will be more than fast enough (I find it's plenty perky for the camera-strewn M1).

You'll not be holding any conference calls, nor falling asleep and though I think the 1.2 is a little quieter, I'd say both were fine.

Ah brilliant, I may see you around then. I'm based around Palmers Green. (y)

With the journey 300 miles return I take it one tank won't be enough

Would I get 200 miles in town?

Having driven many kinds of car, of all ages and kinds (I work in the motor trade) I'd say motorway refinement is not a problem at all in the 100hp.

Sure its no rolls Royce, but neither is it unrefined. Also, IMO, the firm ride makes for a nice stable feel on the mway.

60 is approx 2750 revs and 70 is approx 3200 revs. Comparable with 5th in many other small cars.

Tyre noise is acceptable.....mines on vredestein quadtracs at the moment.

I find mine quite nice on a long motorway cruise, rubbish road surfaces will upset any car and the panda isn't that noisy.
I particularly like the way you can rest your elbow comfortably on the door window edge whilst cruising..

Well, what a coincidence! Please tell me it's not the one that was at Desira Barnet :cry:

Yes it is!!

Haha no....we meet next week when we get them, please let me know how you find it....
