I work Saturdays but could do evening.........or sunday

thanks for your help guys....im now going to get it

I wanted to ask you
the car failed an MOT and he had the following items fixed

rear brake pads
driver and passenger side swing arms
gas emissions leak

seems like a lot of things wrong no?

That would worry me a little as to how clueless the previous owner was about maintenance.

Those are things which wouldn't be present at MOT time if the car was being serviced well, especially the pads.

Hopefully it's just an anomaly though. As long as you look after it I'm sure you'll be fine.

Rear arms was probably just play in the bushes, rear brake pads is a ten minute job and the emission leak was probably just the exhaust, nothing there to worry about.

going on your recommendations and advice, I have put a deposit on it and picking it up Saturday, will let you know on sunday my experience as im picking her up from oxford ill be going to Birmingham and then Mansfield and then back to London all in the same day.

It's not bad.
I average 160 miles a day most days with 95% being motorway and you still feel fresh when coming out.
Having changed the rear shocks with Konis (fronts to follow) the vertical motion of the car is better controlled but it's not a magic carpet by any means.

my 1.2 felt crap on motorways, it was not holding the road well and this is at 70mph!!
always dodgy with bad weather, slight wind and the car was swaying, hope the 100hp will not do this

also, I hope it can do a touch more than 80mph (only abroad officer) as I like to cruise at that speed, the 1.2 was shaking at 70.

that's what I wanted to hear, if it feels alright at 75 then that's good with me......

Our 2011 1.2 Dynamic is theoretically fine well into the 80s. Though it's only done 7000 miles. Straight as an arrow and quieter than our 100hp at theoretical 80.

Course, the 100hp is easier on hills and will slog anywhere in 6th if you just cannot be bothered to change gear. It's also not a problem theoretically above the ton, just noisy.
