Blimey.. you lot need to get with the program.. the 100hp needs to be driven with sport mode on and attack mode at 100%...
I agree, in 'normal' mode it's horrible.

I only turn sport off on very icy roads (which we hardly ever have overhere) so that would be never.Blimey.. you lot need to get with the program.. the 100hp needs to be driven with sport mode on and attack mode at 100%...
I loved it in "normal" mode so I can't wait to use sport mode. Does the standard pipe pop and crackle because the one attatched to mine did and it was bloody fab!
I generally use normal mode for lazy driving and then when alone have the 'Sport' mode as a treat. It's jerky for traffic/commute but perfect and fun on quiet roads.
In any event, as with most things, you get used to things as you regularly use them, so what might at first seem unsuitable becomes eventually normal.
My standard exhaust neither snaps, crackles or pops.
As for spending on the stereo - why not do nothing for 3 months. If after that period you still feel you need to have musical accompaniment, then you have had 3 months to do research. If you can live with the current stereo, you've saved money and not had to tell your insurer. Personally I prefer the 100hp with no stereo on.
The steering is great in sport mode but the throttle........basically it remaps the entire throttle travel into the first 25% without increasing any pedal resistance. So your favourite back road rally stage changes into a kangaroo jumping competition due to the over sensitive light throttle and bouncy back road.. They got the gearbox right, just get the steering and throttle right and dump the synthetic gimmicks. I never use mine now, but fully enjoy the car, especially it's size.
I'm assuming there's no way of setting the car up to have sport steering and normal throttle feel?
If it's too jerky have you not considered it might be a lack of control by you rather than the car?
It's not a difficult car to drive quickly or in traffic with sport mode on or off.
Do you drive it with your ballerina pumps on? Sorry, I couldn't resist
On a more serious note, on smooth roads Sport mode is fine, you get used to it and able to modulate the throttle but on bumpy roads your foot will move unwillingly due to the hard suspension and ultra sensitive throttle.
A "semi-sport" mode between the Normal and Sport would be ideal as suggested.
I'd love better throttle response as the Normal mode drive by wire makes it feel numb and driving with an elastic band on your foot, the problem with Sport mode is that after the 25-30% of its travel nothing happens.
