the clock wont stop flashing help please pressed buttons nothing happening plus 12 hours behind

The up and down buttons to the right side of the dash are used to set the time. What happened that the clock reset itself? Did it happen when you were starting the car? If so, it could be a sign of a battery running low or on its way out.

the clock is flashing permanntly and you cant do anything with the buttons

try disconnecting the engines battery for a short time( BLACK lead).. it may well reset,
do the buttons move freely..?? nothing "stuck..??"

Charlie
was wandering if the button didn't work you could replace it??

it seems as if the clock button isn't working properly mate also a beeping noise and the mileage reading disapears

Here are the pictures including the buttons that are located on the right hand side of the dashboard of my Fiat Panda Elaganze 1.2

when you switch the ignition on it beeps, and the mileage disappears and nothing happens when the buttons are pressed as in the third picture. Furthermore the clock is permanently flashing.

From the pics, it would appear that you've only told us half the story. Whilst the clock may be flashing, the top third of the display is not there! This displays the date, and when the OE radio is fitted, the radio station/frequency. Or have you photoshopped it for some reason?

Has this disappeared at the same time, or has this been missing for a while? It would appear that the display is dead, probably needing a new one.

If you need a new display, if sourcing a used one, you need one with a lower mileage than yours. Then using MES it can be updated to the correct mileage, but you cannot reduce the number.

thats how the car was when i bought it

no warranty sold as seen was wondering what the clock and new buttons would cost and where can i get them from

Cheaper to source a secondhand one from scrapyard but as above you need to get one from a car with fewer miles than what's on yours as you can only adjust the mileage on the replacement one up and not down.

Just stuck "Fiat Panda instruments" into Ebay and got this list. Other search terms may show more.

Most show high mileages, so you may have to live with that.
There seems to be a change 04/2006, so be careful. There does to seem to be a different one for diesel, but avoid if you can, just to be safe.

Once fitted, you will probably need to do a proxy alignment using MultiECUScan, to make it talk to the rest of the car. The mileage can be set correctly at that time, if it is being amended upwards.

Is that tape on the display?

IIRC my Dad's Bravo beeps when it has detected a fault, displays the yellow engine light and scroll the fault in the top part of the display.

Has someone sold a car with the equivalent of Homer Simpson's tape over the check engine light?

Looking again it looks to me like someone has actually cut the display! If so then I'm surprised it works at all. Looks like instruments have been apart - the black bits on the speedo and tacho needles are missing. I bet the connections to the clock buttons are disconnected or damaged.

I must say I didn't notice that as I only looked at the tiny pics on the phone. Now that I see the photos properly, I can see how buggered that clock is. I wonder if that car has possibly been clocked too? Trading standards might be needed for the seller of that.

Yes, it all looks well dodgy! Come to think of it, doesn't the clock flash if the instruments have been changed but not synced with the rest of the car with MultiECUScan or similar?

EDIT: Think it's the mileage that flashes instead. The clock probably just hasn't been set since the last time the battery was off.
