It's not coming off

I cracked the glass with the screwdriver though

I broke the cover too while taking it off
It has only one clip, at its bottom inside.
Best place to put the screwdriver is near it IMO.

The next challenge is how to open this

This also has push-fit clips, so the same rule - unclip.


1. You're better off getting the plastic spatula from the kitchen to avoid scratching anything and spreading the load.


2. It feels quite tough to pull out, but doable easily enough


2.5. It seems like you're wanting to remove the mirror, which if so, has a gigantic plastic nut, which because of locking lugs is a pig to take off. Don't do it unless you need to.


3.4 You probably don't need to remove the nut anyway as you're just interested in glass replacement. I can't recall if the plug-in connections were behind that cover - I'm pretty sure mine were lower down and I had to partly unclip the door trim at the top. Same rules - unclip with spatula.

Unfortunately I have to as its plastics outside are scratched here and there and I want to bring this car back to its former glory.
