Has anyone bought these for the Panda? Impressions?

I don't want to put films because I think there are times you are better off without them.

Yes I have them. You're probably thinking 'what accessories does Wee Smurf not have?' lol.

There's some pics of them in my gallery. The clips for the side windows weren't that great so I stitched some velcro on them and stuck some velcro pads on the door to hold them in place. And yes I'd recommend them as they're great for keeping the back end of the car a bit more private and keeping the sun off small people and they do help keep the car a bit cooler in the sun.

I've used them on another car and they work fairly well, particularly when we spend the summer in Italy, kept some of the heat out of the car when parked up.

They did become a pain when rear seat passengers tried to remove them themselves without knowing how and the clips would be pulled off and lost.

Also when it was time for the local car wash it do it's inside and out clean (so not that often), they often endind up in the boot or they didn't bother removing them to clean the insides of the windows.

Yes I have them too and love them! They do the job of tinting just as well. I agree about the clips. I am in the process of gluing them to the doors as the sticky stuff on the back of them isn't very good, causing them to pull off when the car gets hot in the sun!

Excellent in hot climates.
Some cars have such roll-up shades fitted as standard, so they must be useful.

Thanks Wee Smurf, Goudrons and trevorwat :D
I have a friend that has the films but I want to be able to choose exactly when to darken them.

Right now I am thinking you are a great source of information (y) I will check the gallery now

The ones on the video are from "Lampa" you have the same brand?

There are two things that I am trying to find out but failing:

1)
Do they all have interlocking clips including the rear windshield one?
Or are any glued like shown in the video at minute 01:10
I thought the clips were preferable (I don't like sticky stuff on my windows) but after reading your experiences I am no longer sure...

2)
Does the rear windshield come in one or two pieces?
I would prefer one...

If anyone has the Lampa ones please let me know as I can't find an alternative on amazon.it and they are not exactly cheap (90 euro)

I got some off eBay for a pretty decent price, but I decided not to keep them. With the 100HP's back windows already being tinted, they made the back of the car both very dark and hard to see out of. That said, I'm sure they'd be much better in a Panda with non-tinted back windows.

As for the blinds themselves, they seemed to be well made and came in a nice Fiat branded carrying/storage bag. IIRC, their price from Fiat is a bit steep, but if you can find a set on eBay they can be had for a much more reasonable sum.

Try here www.direct4x4.co.uk this is where I got mine from they are very similar to the ones listed, have a look.(y)

Direct4X4 usually have them listed on ebay for around £30. I got a set from them via Jon (Most Easterly Panda) as they were wanting another £30 to deliver them to me in Belfast. He got a handy little box for his own use into the bargain. ;)

Thanks! I did not!
I would buy the FIAT ones if the price is not too much different from the 100 euro Lampa is asking.

I can't find the part number mentioned in that thread (46002920) in eper though... same old story :bang:

€100 is a bit steep in my opinion. You can get them on ebay starting at £30 usually. I'd say that they're all made in the same place and just branded differently.

Ps I'm usually on the mobile so I can't see what your location is...

Good that you have managed to get some sorted, rear and quarter light blinds fit easily I only used the centre clip on the rear as they fit snuggly into the window frame.
On the rear doors I placed the clip under the window seal as the adhesive on the clips was not strong enough to secure to the door frame, it works well no rattles.
If your blinds are the same as mine they have the FIAT logo on them.
Enjoy. (y)

What's written on the little piece of cloth? (I presume it is used to take them off)
I am in Rome and I can't find them here

You could still do it cheaper from Direct 4x4 if you are friendly enough with someone who lives on mainland England. They do free courier to English addresses and I'm sure the postage to Italy (obviously minus the huge box) shouldn't be any more than £20, so you could maybe do it for around £50 in total...

Thank you all for your help, especially Wee Smurf.

That was a good idea of yours but in the end I bought the ones from privacy-shades.co.uk
(I discovered Lampa was only the name of their reseller in Italy)

I paid them 88 euro but at least I will get them quick and we can compare which ones are better quality.
I will post pictures as usual.
