Question, is there a trick to opening the plugs that connect thr loom to the ECU, I don't want to break them open.

Hello mate,

i was happy reading all your progress regarding this issue with your car, once i have the same symptoms on my Corsa 1.3 CDTI.... but unfortunately you didn't came to conclusion.

main faulty code is also P0090, non start, when start, runs a couple of MTs or KMs, then stop and don't start again....

only changed the fuel pressure regulator, without any success. ( it run 60 KM after that but again same problem )

did you ever get to know what could be the problem? or anyone here?I really need help....

thanks.

Hi, yes I did get it sorted out, I post a new thread somewhere but anyway the problem was a dodgy fuse. I checked the ECU for voltage as I had discovered that the output from the pressure sensor was low, I tracked it back to a fuse that was cracked, new fuse and problem gone. I have since read that a few people have had this experience and have found fractured or damaged cables so that will be worth a look. good luck.

wow that sounds amazing and at the same time stupid!

i have had this problem for 2 months now. asked for assistance 3 times because the car just stoped randomly and wont start again on the roads. then after a couple of hours resting it worked like magic...for more few kms...

how come with a burned fuse, sometimes the car works, other doesn't work?? i don't understand... but I will replace the fuse asap.

its located in the main fuse box? do you know its number?

thanks a lot!

I get what you are saying, my daughters Panda would run fine and then just stop, and nothing would get it started. The fuse was not burn it was cracked, bizarre but thats what it was. I was actually looking for a bad cable at the time and just looked at the fuses while I was fiddling about. you need to check for continuity. Sorry no idea what fuse number.

Incidentally, I sold the Panda and have kept in touch with the guy that bought it, he hasn't had any issues at all.

The sensor gives a signal to the ECU and only then the injectors are working.
I don't think this signal is used for the tachometer.
It's not uncommon for cranksensors to stop working when warmed up and working fine after cooling down.

thanks. I will have that also checked, after replacing the possible cracked fuse, hope it works :slayer:

thanks,

what kind of fuse it was? the bottle shape, or the colorful plastic kind? inside the main fuse box?

also, this P0090 error disappeared for good?

It was a plastic spade type. I cannot remember its value, sorry.
