got a couple of daft questions
when ive got the headlights on and I take the keys out the ignition the dash goes black and there is no warning buzzer. is that normal?

how hard is it to change heater control lights a couple of bulbs are out

is the stereo supposed to stay on when the keys aren't in it?

Hello and welcome!

Yes if you have the lights on and you turn the ignition off, your lights will go out and there is no alarm to go off. If you want parking lights, you have to move them to sidelights. If you only had sidelights on when you switched off the engine, you need to turn them off and on again.

There's a guide on changing the heater control lights on here in the guide section. Have a quick search.

You can set your radio to switch off with the ignition in the radio menu. That's the way I have mine set up. There also is an option for it to switch off 20 minutes after you switch the ignition off as well. That might be activated as present.

So have you bought black or red?

got a black one 130k miles but runs well and has never broken down in the last 6 years and it was free so cant complain it needs a bit of work but nothing huge

yeah my dad bought it in 2009 off someone at his work hes just gone and bought a panda multijet with the glass roof and the wife was after a small car to replace her micra. today was the first time ive ever driven it properly one you get used to sitting so high up and the very light steering there pretty fun to drive or it will be when I sort out the non existent brakes just spent £127 on brakes today

do the drivers side wing mirrors brake cant seem to adjust mine with the lever

Don't forget to look at the rear drums as well as the front brakes. Make sure that nothing's leaking as well and the rear shoes are in good condition.

The mirrors can get a bit stiff with age. They should still adjust though. Try gently moving the glass to get it started.

I have a Multijet with a skydome as well. It's a bit older than yours but with just over 95K miles on the clock. It's tried its best to bankrupt me this year, but we're still running.

I fixed the mirrors don't think they have been moved in years.I got new disks pads drums and shoes it had new cables for its mot so hopefully that should sort that out. Then the fun job of changing the egr valve

engine lights been on for years and have a spare egr valve. Done one before on a corsa 1.3 cdti and it's the same engine so should be relatively straightforward (famous last words)

It's passed a few mot with the egr and ran my diagnostic on it and no codes except egr I've turned the light off but don't know how long it will stay off for. Does the egr cleaner work?

its showing a maf sensor fault so that will have to get changed

I've got a spare maf anyway I'll have a look at all the connections tomorrow do they tend to play up in a certain area

Just like my black sporting but MUCH cheaper lol.

how come you only washed one side

Just followed the link and fixed my heater bulb... been bugging me for a week or 2 now. Bulb is a T5 wedge 1.2W same as a newer fruit machine.

Dirty pic was when I picked it up both sides have been washed lol still nowhere near clean think I've spent about 12 hours on it so far but it's a big improvement. I got the dash bulb fixed it annoyed me just got a dab Headunit and new speakers to stick in and sort the suspention and exhaust then its finished till the better weather so I can detail it properly
