hi all,

I recently purchased a panda 100hp and instantly fell in love with it!

in one of the car reviews i have read it described the car as infectious and i completely get it, I agree in every respect apart from when it comes to the seats. I found that on everything but the shortest journey I was in agony.

To make sure I didn't have to give up on the car I invested in the seats from a ford ka and fitted them a couple of weeks ago.

So I have now been left with my old seats that are now surplus to requirements and free to a good home, they have done 70000 miles but are still in pretty good nick so if anyone wants them let me know.

please note that to fit the ka seats to the panda i had to remove the brackets from the original seats so you will need the brackets from your original seats when you fix them!

yours

6 minutes and still available , everyone must be out on the beer ! Very generous .Would take them in a heartbeat but overseas :-( in England ( Teeside)with in laws for Christmas but will be in Octavia to fit in kids / family pressies etc .Certain they wouldn't fit in on return leg either crammed full of toys .

I know the Ka into Panda seat thing is an ongoing saga on the forum here .Do they go straight in easily enough apart from bracket switch ? But rears are trickier?Comfier than 100hps .I liked my one's seats but overall wasn't mad about the car .Bit heavy on juice mid recession , rear suspension ...anyway I've posted about it elsewhere .

Im in south lincolnshire but i still have the pallet that the ka seats came on so i could always package them up for someone i suppose.

With regards to the seats the ka ones are sooo much better that the pandas originals. Fitting the fronts is easy enough, drill out two rivets and swap the brackets over and fitting the seats backs of the rear is a doddle (they just screw in!) but the base of the rear is the problem, not only is the ka seat slightly wider than the pandas (a quick hit with a hammer soon sorted this out) but the seat is considerably thinner. This results in a gap at the bottom of the seat unless something is put under it to push it back up. Others I know have used an mdf board to fill this gap but I had some left over seat foam from another project so i made use of that and i am happy with the results. I used some charcoal grey car fabric to cloak the foam at the sides and it was finished.

so not a straight sway but not too difficult and i got my ka seats for £125 from a breakers and they had only done 4000 miles!

well if they dont they will be going to the landfill as i haven't got anywhere store them and they are taking up too much room!

You'd be mad to dump them .Theres people would give their eye teeth for them .Ebay if no ones going to take them from here .

hey fpan,

sorry I missed your message first time.

they are about the same width as the panda and the lateral support is not too bad, I would put them on a par with the original 100hp seats, I wanted them for the lumbar support and in this respect they are so much better!

with regards to fleabay its too much hassel especially when it comes to car par parts, in the past I have had so many people come and look at the parts having won them and then even though they are as described and photographed they walk away because they aren't brand new!

Curious how your new seats look - some of the Ka designed seats I've seen have been a little busy for my taste.

I like the 100hp seats and it always feels slightly weird when I drive the Panda 1.2 and those seats don't pinch your ass like the 100hp seats do.

sorry it has taken so long for me to reply what with Christmas, new year and a chest infection I haven't been up to much.

I am sorry to say the seats are now gone, but I am glad to say not wasted they are currently sat happily in a mates (mums) 1.2

I thought the seats in the hp were bad but now I have sat in a normal panda I think it might just be that I am a bit too big! the ka on the other hand is fine...

still thanks for the reply's and happy hunting

2010-2015 Fit. I did it to mine too and there's a thread linked to the below one where I fitted them. The back seat is the hardest and i think freddie's dad used seat foam to raise where I cut a sheet of mdf.
