Hello, I am new to Fiat Forum and really hope that someone can help. I have a 2010 Fiat Panda. It is a good little car but for a while it has been revving higher and the idle speed is high as if it is still in choke mode even when the engine is warm. This is an intermittent problem, e.g I have a 10 mile journey to work and it will have high revs all the way to work ( I am often in stop/start traffic for about 5 miles of the journey), on arrival at work I switch off the engine and it runs over and shudders to a stop. On leaving work after about 8 hours, car starts fine and revs are not high and switches off ok when I arrive home.
But this can change and sometimes it will run fine for a while then the revs will get high and stay high, or the revs could be fine for a full journey.
I understand that the revs are high when the engine is cold but don't know why it is intermittent during journeys etc. I looked at a few postings and proceeded to have a diagnostics check done at my local independent garage. Everything turned out to be fine and was told the car is running really well. 2 weeks after the check and the problems remains. Took it back to the garage yesterday and had both lambda sensors replaced. Picked up the car today, took it for a 12 mile journey and the car is revving even higher. Really not happy at this point and I cannot get a refund as electronic parts are non refundable(£200 fitted). Took it for another 4 mile journey when the engine was warm and it run perfectly.
All these problems occurred after I had the car serviced.
Can anyone help me? The car only has 33k on the clock and I keep my cars for years and I am not in a position just to go and get a new one.

You mentioned this in an old post and I asked my garage to check and they said they couldn't find anything re: leaks ( I can only take their word but usually they are really good with me). I don't have a clue what to look for and have to rely on the garage.
Could something have happened when the air filter was changed during the service?
