Image wont load for some reason but a local ne'er do well snapped the wiper arms off my Panda last night with MOT tomorrow. To say I've been grumpy today would be an understatement.

Yeah not sure where I went wrong with the pic. Managed to find some at a breakers. Fiat wanted £140 for the pair including blades. Got the lot for £40.
6 months ago moron decided to snap wing mirrors off. I'm beginning to think I've cheesed somebody off.

People who damage other people's cars p*sses me off more than almost any other non-serious (no offence, OP, I mean in comparison to stabbings, rapes, paedophilia etc) crime. I think the worst thing about it is that you just know that the type of people who commit these offences are absolute cowardly scum, who think anonymously damaging someone else's car is an acceptable form of "justice" for whatever it is they feel they've been wronged by.

Had the same thing happen to me a few weeks ago, no idea why. My window was smashed and the passenger wiper arm was completely snapped off. Nothing was stolen, just someone was jealous of my awesome Panda :/

The same day, drove to Fiat and to replace both the window and arm would have cost €170 and I would have had to wait a few days for the glass to come in. Drove down to a local scrap yard and managed to get both for 70 instead. Easy fix, just a pain to clean out all the glass. Also bit depressing that someone would want to do something like that for kicks. I don't want to live on this planet anymore ¬_¬

Did you report this to the Garda? €170 must rate an investigation of some sort. If they kicked a front door in or smashed your house windows or stole a Blue Ray player from your local electrical shop surely they'd investigate, and if this happened recently, unless it was definitely a planned act, they'd have been unlikely to be wearing gloves.....unless it's a hell of a sight colder than here.

No I didn't report it. Didn't think that the guards would go out of their way if nothing was stolen. Where I live (Tyrrelstown) is quite notorious for s*** heads and the likes. Plenty of worse things have happened there so I'm glad it was just that and nothing more.
