Hey guys and girls!
Just have quick question. I've recently been given a 2008 Panda and the previous owner had replaced the blaupunkt head unit with an aftermarket stereo and a cheap fascia surround (doesn't fit very nice tbh).
In an O.C.D induced strop I removed the offending items lol.
If I was to buy a new Headunit will it be possible to install in a solid enough manner whilst I wait for a new fascia surround to arrive?
Thanks in advance :)

The OE unit cage bolts to the inner fascia. The aftermarket units cages all fix to the new surround, so no.
Find a "Connects2" or "Autoleads" surround online, should be with you in a day or so.

Thank you :) I just ordered a connects2 fascia!

Ok thank you :) . The one I just pulled out had a fascia that didn't seem to sit flush at all and the head unit was at the bottom.
I'll put my new stereo at the top and hopefully my fascia will fit well when it arrives.

Help! I've stuck me new fascia in and it has the same issue as before where one corner doesn't fit flush. Anybody else had this problem with an aftermarket fascia?

There are two different sizes of fascia kit - my first mk3 fascia was a very poor fit with the corners sticking up, I fitted a double din unit and it was a real faff.

This time I'm letting Halfords have the pain - they've ordered both fitting kits as they don't know which will be the right one until day of the fit, they are also fitting the patch leads so I can retain the steering wheel controls.

I would have preferred to get an independant to do the stereo but haven't managed to fnd even a local audio supplier.

Good luck with yours, I'll post up a picture of mine when it's done.
