Sometime after buying my 2007 Panda Diesel in February I noticed a rattle from the front end in tickover, nothing to do with the engine but as though something is loose under the bonnet, when waiting at the traffic lights the rattle starts and goes off soon as I rev it, today whilst trying to work out what it is, I found the radiator to be very loose but without some major dismantling cannot see how or where it is fastened, can anyone tell me how to go about tightening up the radiator.

Thanks

I think the radiator is clipped in!

It slots into two holes in the front subframe at its base, with a couple of rubber grommets to stop it moving, and there should be a couple of clips at the top which you need to pull upwards to release if you ever need to remove it (after a fair bit of dismantling of other bits and pieces in the way).

It would pay to locate the top clips and make sure they're pushed 'home' as a first step.

Sweetsixteen.

When we bought our MJ (new) in 2007, the air filter housing was loose and rattling on its mountings - rubber grommets on screwed pillars. Fixed it by putting a self-tapping screw down the side of the rubber grommet
Noticed some months later that the air filter housing was also separated at the seams, and fixed this with plastic bonding agent.

As a short term fix I've secured it with a pull tie but it looks like I will need to remove quite a few bits to get to where it should be fastened
