I finally started to add one or two new things to my lil 1.1 Panda. Here are some pics to show what I have done to it so far:

What you guys think? :)

I will have some more mods to follow

Yup :) Revs work brilliant-ly! It does show the wrong clock which is a bit troublesome because The car has actually been only clocked to 64000+KM where as the new ones show ~60000 M, which is a big difference.

But I ordered everything i need to reprogram the eeprom on the new dash so I can set the correct mileage on the new clock (of course adding the amount I have driven with the new clocks).

Thanks for the compliment :)

I'm not 100% on the grill, My panda is the same colour as yours and I was thinking about colour coding the grill.

Your grill was black plastic before?
I have the older shape grill or the eleganza grill that's half colour coded.

Yeah I'd say the grill won't be to a lot of peoples liking, but I thought I'd do something stupid and different :)

Yes it was plastic, not sure which version of the Panda it is though (I think its Active).

Well if you like it, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks!(y)
I was considering getting the Diesel sporting stripes for my panda, I was thinking about going Grey/black stripes over white though.

Sounds nice!

The ideas I have for my Rose includes a paint change ;)

But I dont want to give away the color and theme yet.

Yup, everything works just fine! I think with any car, they have the wiring for everything, but for the likes of my Panda that only has a 1.1, they dont put in Rev counter. Other than that everything else works just fine!

Oh except the odometer shows the mileage of the car the cluster was installed in before mine. But I will be reprogramming it to show the correct mileage.

Im not sure if they would do it. I think they would have to send it away because the eeprom (memory) would have to be flashed. I plan on doing this myself. You could find someone that does that sort of thing all the time, but it might cost you 50+ euros to get it done. I hope i can do mine myself anyway.

Doesnt seem that hard though :) I might even post a tutorial if I am successful.

Got some parts in today :)

Won't be putting them on until I get the rest of the parts I need so that I can do it all in one go.

Brembo Max front discs
Novitech Panda springs (~ -40mm off the ride height)

Total cost for these 2 purchases: €180 including shipping from Germany (and may I add a VERY quick delivery also!).

Get yourself some uprated pads and braided lines to go with those discs, or they'll have been a pretty pointless upgrade. You could also change the rear drums for discs, though that is a pretty low priority upgrade, especially in a car with so little power. In reality, even the 100HP doesn't need rear discs (though they're nice to have).

Also, the stock dampers aren't rated for lowering, so if you don't want to knacker them pretty quickly, get some uprated dampers (Koni STR.Ts are good, and rated for lowering).

Finally, if you want to make the handling better, tyres are pretty much the most important thing and the place you should start. You need something better, wider and lower profile than whatever a 1.1 Panda wears as standard. This will likely mean you'll need different sized wheels to keep the speedo within tolerance, as the profile on standard Panda wheels is very high, IIRC.

You are on the ball with what I am trying to do :) I am waiting for the pads to come in and I will also be getting an Ulster exhaust back box with those pads. With regards to the wheels, I am pulling my hair out trying to find a nice set of Abarth rims from a Fiat 500 on Ebay.

The Pretender got himself a lovely set and I wish I was as lucky as him in sourcing them out.

With regards to tyres, I have a new set of standard 155/80/13 at the moment but when I get the new rims, I'll be putting on new rubber on them.

In the end, if I don't manage to get any Abarth rims, these rims are my next choice. I think they are really nice in black, would suit the colour of the car and they would be a nice easy fit without spacers....I'd imagine...

I'd look for something like a set of Punto Sporting alloys, they may well be easier to find and will almost certainly be cheaper than Abarth 500 wheels. If you do find a set of A500 wheels, when you sell the car, sell the wheels separately. They're one part which shouldn't depreciate too much...if you don't curb them :p. The 16" A500 wheels take 195/45/R16 tyres, which if you buy decent ones, will give you much more grip and much less roll. If they do Rainsports in that size, get them. They're about the best tyre for UK (or Irish) road driving in "normal" cars.

Thanks Matt :) I'll be sure to look around for them too. I just can't wait to start fitting everything. Though I need to get the car serviced and re-aligned once i sort out the suspension.

I am curious about the dampers, I found some on Amazon and they seem like they could do the job, what do you think?

Rear shocks:

Front shocks:

They are made by FK so I'm assuming they are good shocks, right?

This is my 100hp on the old Punto Sporting 6x15ET35 wheels with Rainsport 195/50-15 tyres.
