I actually found an amazing set of abarth rims. Just gotta wait till I have money to get em.

Apparently you can use the dianostic Fiat garage tool to raise the Km's/Miles to the original level that the car has done.
But only raise them, not lower them.
So you need a instrument cluster with low milage on it, or at leased lower then the milage of the car you have.

This is correct AFAIK, the guy who wrote the software did it to stop people clocking cars using his program, which seems a good idea to me.

So, it has been a while since I updated this with my mods so here are a few pictures of the mods I have done.

Brembo Max front disks with EBC Blackstuff brake pads, Ulther Exhaust (decided to go with the oval to be a bit different) and I also added Novitech springs to the back for the time being. I can't undo the front shocks at the moment because of the tools I have, so waiting to get some nice new spanners.

Also, I have new set of FK performance shocks coming in from Germany too which I will add at the same time.

ALSO also, I am waiting on the strut brace from an Irish performance parts shop and I have half my payment made on the rims (won't give away what they are just yet, it's a surprise...).

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I replaced the center pipe because it was pretty much rusted with a stainless steel pipe. The sound from the Panda is a nice low mellow bass-y tone, nothing rally or dirty :)

Thanks Dave! Nope, it doesn't have any rasping like a rally car or a dirty Civic. Just a nice little bassy bellow :) But much nicer than the stock sound, has more presence now specially when you put the foot down.

Hi Matt. While under the car trying to replace it myself, i saw that the centre pipe was pretty much rusted too. I decided to stick in a stainless steel centre pipe but the guys at the garage threw on the back box for free.

But yes, it is a straight on fit, no fussing about.

Also, look what came in the post ;)

New FK performance shocks and rear drums (to replace the ugly ones that will ruin the look of the rims once i make the rest of the payment...and get tires for them...)

Busy weekend for me so :)

Hi guys, was wondering if you might have any tips for me?

I managed to change one side of the shock and spring on my Panda but on the other side, the link stabilizer bolt with the hex key is pretty much sheared into a circle.

Does anyone have any suggestions to take it off? I sprayed loads of degreaser but that didn't seem to help. Would I have to get a new link stabilizer?

I can removed the shock with almost no issues, its just the link stabilizer bolt.

Try an impact gun or remove the other end. A new set would be advisable is there is already enough play for it just to spin may as well replace while it is off.

Annoyingly it still in place, I can't remove it. I will try to see if a star hex key may work

Dad says it may have more grip.

Finally fitted the front shocks and springs onto my Panda with a lot of elbow grease and Pavel (my pops, he deserves the credit fo sho). However I ended up having to take out a whole link stabilizer with the left front shock because the bolt holding it to the shock would not come off.

Apart from that, all went well. It is sitting a little high but I haven't taken it out yet to let it settle. Love the white and yellow, really different :) Sorry for the bad shots but it was like 10 pm when I took shots of it all in place. ALSO! wanted to give you all a sneak peak at the rims I decided to go with, let me know what you guys think :) Hopefully they are not too childish :p

Shocks - FK Performance shocks
Springs - Novitechs
Rims - Rota Grid V Classics

Thanks Dave :)

Yeah my first set of rims costing me €600 :S I am dying to put them on but tires will cost me another 250 fitted and balanced (I am hoping they throw in studs and locking studs in free...wishful thinker here). I only have 2 of the rims so far, need to pay off the rest of the money for the rims.

Also, I am kinda tired of the way the grill looks so I got a new badge-less grill just to see what it looks like for €20. I am contemplating about cleaning and painting the engine also just to neat things up in there. And of course I need to replace the seats but I might leave that for now.
