The twinair will lose more than £3500 in the first couple of years... and it's an enormous car... and isn't a Panda.

Yup will lose the price of a decent mk2 4x4.

They aren't that much bigger than the mk3's and quite clearly it is a panda :p

If I could go back and buy a brand new mk2 or 3 I would.

You only 'lose' money if you sell it after two years. I've got an 20 month old 500 that has now done 20k miles. I'm sure you'd say I've lost loads but I'm not planning on selling and I'm not driving someone else's cast off so what exactly have I 'lost' so far?

Exactly my theory - if I never sell the Abarth I've never lost a penny!! ;)

Anyway if John got 17% discount, that's a pretty good start against the depreciation monster..... (y)

Exactly, my parents god help them have lost about £9k over the last 14 years and 190k miles with their Yaris, never buying a new car again with depreciation like that! :p

Are you selling all your mk3's?

If so what would they offer to chop them all in?

No just chopping in the 100HP if it doesn't sell on here or autotrader for more than the trade in.

The Alessi is going to Lynne, my old cinq - her current car is going to my cousin and I'm keeping the 4x4 for when it snows!

The Alessi is the only car I drive at the moment, the crappy roads round here make the 100HP a poor choice for an commuter and the 4x4 is good just a pity it hasn't air con to clear the windows on a morning.

The roads are being gritted and salted regularly now so the classics are secured in the back yard for now - though one will be taken to Vernons when the Y10 is ready!
