Hello,

I have Panda 2011 69hp and I have fatal problems with headlights!

Normal headlights wont turn on (dipped beam). I think switch work ok, because I hear clicking sound and backlights turns on normal, but normal headlights just says nothing. Main beam (or what is it?) works too.

I have investigated problem long night and voltage comes good to 7.5amp fuses on fuse box (0v when lights off and 12v when switch is on). Lights height adjustment works fine and its from same fuse as the passanger light.
Voltage even comes to headlight, but very weak: There is about 10volts when the bulb is not connected and when I connect -> voltage disappears.
I wired voltage straigh from battery and both main beam and dipped beam worked good (I dont know right words). I replaced the bulbs just for sure.

Nothing comes to my mind. The voltage just drops somewhere between 7.5amp fuses and bulbs. Because both lighs are off, there must be one bad connector or something?

This is very weird because I had similar problem with -99 Fiat Bravo, but the passanger headlight worked fine. (10 volts when bulb not connected and disappears when connect) and I didnt found any solutions. I just wired from passanger headlight to drivers side headlight and all worked fine many years.
But Panda lost both lights at same time?!

Please help!

OMG, how can I thank you enough! The bottom connector of that unit was fatal burned. It came out only with force and in pieces. Two gray wires was badly burned. Everything else was in great shape.

Grey wires was very very tiny for long connection to bulbs. Is it possible that the wires are just too little for headlights? Or was it bad connection in case both wires were burned? I drive long distances and lights are on.

Im going to make direct wiring with relay anyway. I cannot live with these kind of connections.

Do make a how-to please.
It's my understanding that these wires go to the relay and do not carry the full load. Mine were just a lttle burnt. I gave everything a good cleaning and slightly bent the connectors on the bodycomputer.
So I haven't used the connector I bought on E-Bay.

I have to take a look at the wiring diagrams again, but I'm pretty sure they carry the full load. The relay is inside the BCU like indicators realy, clicking sound comes from inside BCU. Big power wire comes to BCU and it powers everything connected to it. Relay is only for the switch stalk. Thats my opinion.
But like i said, im going to take a look at the wiring diagrams and maybe i will find these grey wires going straight to the headlights?

Main beam have its own relay and fuse and these are under the bonnet. I found relay modification kit to headlights from local store. Im going to put relay under the bonnet and and make a direct wiring using original wiring only as remote.

Changed my connector yesterday. After cleaning earlier the connector burnt out again after my holiday.
New connector uses bigger gauge wires.

Did you use the connector you can see in picture, because I have the same problem and had to be ordering this, or burned it also ??

Dear friends
First of all I want to thank you for the information about this problem with headlights.
With the help of a friend who happens to be electrician we came up with a solution which cost nothing and works just fine.
We by passed the plastic connector and wired the two grey cables directly to the fuses.
I am posting a photo so you can see what we did.
For one more time ,THANK YOU VERY MUCH…….
