Heat gun is difficult to get right, plastic can get too much heat and warp as well as bubble, also resukts can be patchy - I'd avoid if I were you, ruined a trip piece and a door mirror trying it out.

Apparently Boiled Linseed oil works well but I've never tried it myself,

For ease of use I'm a fan of the autoglym bumper gel, I don't bother to buff it off and it does streak, a good pressure wash gets it off though.

Sometimes I wish I'd never started using the stuff - it's addictive!

im a huge fan or poorboys stuff

poorboys trim restorer has been brilliant on mine. brings the black to being dark without streaks or shiny and repels water very well

So tried the old bit of peanut Butter. I had just washed the car and thought il try a wee bit to see and ended up doing the whole trim. It's came up really well ☺️ bits that I can do with going over again.

Trouble is now you'll be tempted to eat your panda when your a bit peckish after a few pints...

I've tried the heat gun method with mixed results.
If you decided to have a go, use the lowest heat setting and practice on a bit of old trim first. It's too easy to miss the plastic going from shiny to ruined

Aerospace 303 has been my favourite for years. Slather it on and let it soak in for ages before buffing.

I bought some SONAX Xtreme Plastic Restorer Gel, meant to be decent, but not had a chance to try it yet as the 100hp is my daily, and I have 2 other cars needing some work so they seem to be sucking away my car repair time at the moment..

Will report back with results when I try it.

Didn't take any photos with the SONAX stuff (I always wash 2 cars so by the time I've finished any detailing I'm too tired to be bothered with photos!!) but it's pretty decent.
The trim does start to go light again before the next wash (it was about a month I think) but it's easy to apply, and looks god for a few weeks, I'm pretty impressed.

I used plastidip on my Mk2 Golf trim, 7 month on and it still looks perfect.

I keep meaning to do the same with the Panda but haven't got around to it.
