General New Panda 4x4

1.2 8v is very tuneable, 80 bhp is easy

we do an induction kit for it and novitec do two choices of exhaust system
805 CM NOVITEC Panda stainless steel rearsilencer 1x80mm 259.00EUR
821 CM NOVITEC Panda stainless steel rearsilencer 1x80mm left & right 379.00EUR

the engine would take to a re-map for improved response and take advantage of the filter and exhaust

for extra zip on the road you could fit a nitrous kit - i am serious!

the 1.3 JTD is the best but not available in UK

for more details pm me

20 hp more just from induction kit - excaust and reprogramming.
Sound too much especially when we are talking for a small engine 1242cc and not dramatic improvements.
Same package for my Alfa the most it can give is 10-15 hp from a 1.8 lt engine.

When you are talking about excaust are you aware of the different excaust positioning in 4x4 than that of the normal Panda.

I am pretty sure a member on here (tricker...) has more than 90 bhp from his NA 1242 8v engine.

I have no doubt, but with what modifications?
Don't forget that here we are talking about a small 4x4 car, so you need extra torque at low revs and not extra horsepower at high revs.

I love the Panda, but not the 4x4 version. If you need an off roader, then that's fair enough, the Panda 4x4 is probably a good choice, but for normal driving get the normal one! A normal Panda is faster, drinks less fuel, is cheaper, looks better...

Getting a Panda for city driving is just silly!

When I (at least) bought the 4x4 version I had in mind some rocky roads in the island where I'm going for vacations, and the snow that appears lately in my region. Also now I have the oppurtunity, due to the higher distance from ground and the car capability to climb, to move in roads where my previous small car (cinquecento) couldn't go.

Definetely if I wanted only for city I would also choose the normal version.

As for the engine, off-roaders need low down torque, not 'revvy' power. The 1242cc 8v unit is extremely flexible low-down and more than up to the job. As an old series II Land Rover owner how much power they get out of the 2.25 engine and you might get a surprise; doesn't stop them going up hills though.

As for it not being a 'proper' off roader, what is? A heavy (2 ton +) pimp-mobile with 22" wheels and tinted windows? Weight is the biggest killer off-road, but the Panda is not heavy. Approach and decent angles are critical, but the Panda fares amongst the best in the world. Sure, ground clearance will get it eventually, and if you want to blat up sand-dunes it don't have the power, but...

Panda 4x4=brilliant

The 1.2 Climbing is the one with the ConnectNAV+ Satnav in it isn't it??

Why do we in Britain always get the leftovers?? Are we such dull shoppers or something?

Where is the 1.3 Multijet?!

Climbing is the specification of the UK model (y)
