Hey there I'm in the process of repairing my 100HP and wondered if there are any part number gurus on here?

Everything I have ordered so far I'm happy with, until that is I decided to check over my new wing mirror ordered directly from my local stealer. Pretty sure it's not the correct item, the part number is 735407999.

Reason I think it's not correct is the body coloured part of the mirror is in a textured plastic and not smooth???

What is your vin ?

I got your vin from your reg, its a July 07 car. they only list 2 wing mirrors, one is the part you list (electric) the other is the manual..
Presume yours is leccy..
so it 'appears' correct..

they do list 2 covers though. one black, and one prepared for painting.
Very strange ?

There are 12 different types of door mirror iirc (have never been wing mounted on the Panda ) so you'll need to make sure you order the correct one.

Small
Manual colour coded
Manual none colour coded
Electric colour coded
Electric none colour coded
Electric colour coded with external temp sensor
Electric none colour coded with external temp sensor

Large (later style)
Manual colour coded
Manual none colour coded
Electric colour coded
Electric none colour coded
Electric colour coded with external temp sensor
Electric none colour coded with external temp sensor

I bought a pair - all black plastic - off Eurocarparts. Cheap as chips. Suit my white 100hp just fine.

Well I ordered the mirror directly from the dealer and they had my registration number so I would have thought the mirror should be the correct item. May just have to get a red cover from a scrappy or ebay. Hate the look of the black textured mirror covers.

Got my ePER running.
735407999 is LH mirror complete, for RHD car, Electric adjust, not heated.
You don't say which mirror you wanted, but you don't mention wrong side, so I've assumed it is LH you need.

There are two covers, black and primer.
LH cover, primer, is 71744289, about £35 on my ePER, which is nearly two years old.

There is no option to order complete mirror with a primer cover, so it would appear that your dealer has supplied the correct part, just a shame they didn't advise you'd need a cover as well.

Hi Portland, same in My eper and thats as of Dec 2013.

My ePER, which is the same version as Cap's, agrees too.

£35 for the cover?


£45 for the whole mirror in black from Eurocarparts. And it has the heating element and wiring. Sadly, the car does not.....

Price is irrelevant if you need a smooth cover in body colour.

The 100HP has body coloured mirrors as standard, black plastic ones would look weird and out of place, especially on a red car. I guess the other option is to try and find one at a breakers, however 100HPs aren't exactly common, unfortunately.

All the body-coloured covers are the same across the range, although it was mainly the Eleganza that had them. So no need to look specifically for a 100hp.

No you can't have mine, orange would look wrong on a red car too.

That does widen the pool a bit, but there aren't that many Eleganzas about either, unfortunately.

The perfect thing would be a written off red 100HP (a sad sight ), no need to have the cover resprayed that way.

What I cant quite grasp Matt, is why the correct part did not arrive ? - if, as you say, they ALL had body coloured mirrors, then the part arriving with the mottled finish (if I read it correctly) would be incorrect ?.

(so part number is incorrectly given ?)
or, did they do a 100 WITH a mottled or whatever one would call it mirror housing ?

Pay attention!

There is NO OPTION to order a complete mirror with a primer cover.
Fiat will only supply a complete mirror in black.
If you want a body-coloured cover, you buy that separately, extra to the mirror, then replace the black one after you've painted the new primer one.
