I'm afraid they did put it on a Punto Mk2 HGT Abarth edition that had no tuning done to it. It merely had the bodykit and some wheels and that was about it.
That's a bit more than a 'special edition' - all that usually means is an unwanted body colour and a chrome fag lighter  .... and possibly a better radio and a sunroof if they have loads at the factory.
anyway,
To which year do you refer for the punto of which you speak ? there is nothing for abarth marque and punto in eper before 2012 ?

Trust me they did one ... I ran a Punto Club!

"The HGT was also available (in limited numbers) as an "HGT Abarth" which added deeper bumpers, rear spoiler, side skirts, new alloy wheels and interior trim. The HGT Abarth had no technical improvements over the regular HGT."

Just google it and you'll find it

Well, fiat dont consider it an abarth as such in their literature for spares and brand history - maybe they want to 'remove the last traces of a mistake ?' - but I would say the list of additions is a bit more than a special edition also, there is no need to change something if it is working well or at capacity. The punto was never a sports car to begin with - and could never be classed as one or made into one.
It must simply have been a blip in the marketting, and certainly not the norm.

I think the Punto abarth is very much in the spirit of the name, Abarth's have always been Fiats with bits stuck on.
The new ones look quite good 2012 >(y) , the older one though:eek: - is pretty grim. It looks as if the designer ran out of paper.. a bit like the new panda -- aghhh (n)

I like the older ones and they are a bargain buy these days.
They certainly seem to be very good value second hand. !!
Fiat cars in general were never popular here, but, took off with the new panda, the punto grande and 500. REALLY popular.. Dont see many older fiats and hardly any puntos at all.
Pandas are like rocking horse crap as well.. usually when you buy a car, you suddenly see millions of them, this time, it is a rare occasion to spot another.
VW's, there are stacks !! every second car is a polo or golf it seems..

I'm bringing this thread back on track!

Decided to be a lemming and do as topic starter and ordered a set of Ka Alu Pedals, but for a left hand drive car. Just received the pedals and they do not look exactly as topic starters, but still fits perfectly (my car is a LHD). The gas pedal is wider (1 column more = 3 columns) and does not have the asymmetric look and the other 2 pedals seems to have a curve on the top part.
Anyway, seems like the pedals + pedal arms are different on LHD and RHD.

I bought them on Ebay.de. Delivery was very fast (2 days), but the picture displays the RHD even though the item is for LHD.

Ebay.de

I'll take a picture of them if anyone's interested.

Well, in their accessories catalogue they (Ford that is) don't have one, so I don't know!

That's a shame, while the pedals idea is growing on me, I do not like the look of the lump of plastic foot rest. But then I can't really see it when driving, but a full set would be nice if you get my meaning.

I know what you mean, mate. The 500 Abarth pedals come with a pedal rest cover, I believe, but I don't think it'd fit on the footrest of the Panda.

Not to mention the fact that 500 Abarth pedals are a right rip off !

general question:
How's the heel and toe feeling for these aftermarket pedals?

Is there btw a way to adjust the orginal pedals a bit better so heel toe shifting require a bit less acrobacy, especially with these too sensitive brakes?

Sometimes I really do get foot cramps doing this...

i would love to give you a answer but i very very rarely heel and toe (y)

Also the alternative pedals may have the symmetry but they look too long. I actually prefer my ones. :slayer:
