Guys

I need a bit of guidance. I should be removing my Pando strips this weekend and silver mirrors will look a bit odd to say the least

I am just going to buy some std black mirror caps and leave them black. I may paint them later but want to try them black first

I don't wanna break the glass or the mirror as the 2010 mirrors are expensive. Does anyone know how to remove the covers

The actual unit, not the fitting base looks almost exactly the same as the 2012 panda mirrors. There are guides in the 2012 panda forum saying remove glass, remove 4 screws and then pop off the mirror cap

anyone changed one on a 2010 panda

Hi Po,
looking on eper for both the 2010 and 2012 > they both show indivdual caps - and no screws - that doesnt mean the screws are not there though !.:)
They also botrh show individual glass as well. - basically a centre part - a cap and the glass.
I would think careful removal of glass should reveal attachments.
The caps are rather expensive, possibly better to just paint your own ?
If you buy caps from a breaker, then you will be able to see how they come apart :D .. also get the glass(s) they are 20 quid each - covers are 140 quid - each. !!

Cheers cap.

There are some patent part black ones for 15 delivered on ebay. Worth a shout surely. If I do t like them black I can spray my OE fiat ones body colour.

I just a little bit scared of breaking the he glasses. Surely I won't be that ham fisted to break my mirrors.

Anyone got a mint set of small mirrors that work to sell. Not to swap....I think my 2010 mmirrors are quite sought after ?

I broke my nearside 'big' mirror last year. Replaced both with the older style smaller mirrors cos they're cheaper (eurocarparts).

Smaller mirrors look better but have less vision.........

The mirror caps clip on...........removing them without removing the glass and being able to press the clip releases from inside would be tough I think. Glass will be cheap enough off ebay if you break that. Just need to spread the load when removing. Two small L-shaped brackets and pull the glass towards you. It has a clip-on bit of plastic where it fixes to the motor end.

Cheers for ye help guys. I just need to order the caps first.

The add on ebay suggests my 2010 mirrors are the same as the ones on the 2012 panda. The caps anyway.
