Hi guys. I'm new to the site and have bought a lovely blue 100hp with personalised number plate!... The previous owner has actually posted pics on here before! She's a beaut! I was wanting to fit an aux lead into the back of the stereo so I can use my ipod. Does anyone know which one to buy? I can't find one anywhere! I know there is another thread about it but the links have expired to the website to buy the cable!
Thank you :)

This is what you need, Jess:

Before you buy, make sure your headunit is capable of accepting an AUX input. Double press the "CD" button, if the screen then says "AUX", you're good to go, if not, your HU doesn't support AUX input.

If/when you come to fit the cable, there will be a yellow connector already in the back of the HU, remove it and plug in the cable you buy in its place. The original yellow connector doesn't do anything unless you have the optional subwoofer fitted. If you have the sub, I'll explain how to make it so you can have aux and sub, if not, don't worry about it, consider the original yellow connector useless.

Oh, and welcome to the Fiat Forum :)!

Thankyou so so much, you're a star!! I will test it shortly when I head out :) the aerial isn't great and neither is the music on radio stations! so being able to put my ipod on would be amazing!
Thankyou for the welcome!

I know what you mean about the radio and its music, fitting an AUX cable was pretty much the first thing I did to my car when I got it. You can run the wire out under the front of the centre console and store your phone/iPod in the two cup holders in front of the handbrake, that's how I've got mine anyway.

Btw, if you need stereo removal keys, a bent piece of wire coat hanger can do the same job for free; cheap and cheerful haha :p!

Just a point re the aerial... I actually think it IS crap....
Anyone else have same???
Tests OK on Meter. Just really crappy.. Or maybe it is just mine ....?

It's not just yours, compared to the aerial on a 2010 Fiesta and a 2012 A8, my Panda's aerial is hopeless. It's not really an issue to me since I never listen to the radio, but it does have poor reception compared to other cars.

I didn't even know you could do it! Otherwise I would have done it a long time ago! I was wondering if one of the other ones were suitable as the one on your link will take ages to get here and I'm eager to fit it! I searched 'alfa romeo 159 aux' and there was one just above the one you pointed out which looks pretty similar but delivery time is quicker. Do you think that would work the same? It says Fiat punto grande and alfa romeo though.

Being able to put in the cup holders is a better bet than me attempting to get it through the glovebox!
I will deffo go for the coat hanger trick!

That'll do the job just fine (y). The one I linked to was just the first one I could find on eBay, I bought mine so long ago that I can't see who I bought it from, unfortunately. It doesn't really matter what cars it says it's for, it's that yellow connector which is important :).

It's a PITA getting it to be stowed away in the glovebox, and it's a lot harder to get at when you're driving. I accidentally bought a 5m cable with mine, so most of that is shoved under the passenger side floor mat haha :p.

Haha 5m!! That's a bit excessive! At least people in Your back seat will be able to choose what they want to listen to!! Awesome I will get that ordered :).
I went out and checked that it goes to aux with the CD button... I've never felt so nervous pressing a button in anticipation! Big sigh of relief when it worked!

Thinking about ordering one of these. For the sake of saving a few quid and getting the release tool with it, is this the same connector?
eBay item 221416377647 (sorry cant post URL)

Many thanks
